News Report.

Becky Watts went missing from her family home on February 19th 2015. Police say her disappearance was out of the blue and suggested the family members prepared for the worst. After multiple house invasions and family and friends of Becky being questions the police soon identified that Becky Watts was murdered by her Step-Brother Nathan Matthews(28). 

Police also assume girl friend Shauna Hoare(21) was involved in the disposing(hiding) of the teenager and Nathan Matthews had a group of friends assisted in the horrific incident.The investigation of the teens murder is still under way with a various of different assumptions.

 The most horrendous part of the heart breaking case if that Beckys body was located only a few miles away from her family home and was terribly butchered so the limbs were no longer attached to the body.

Radio Anaylsis

Capital Fm:

Capital  fm is Britians number one listened to radio station. I has over 1.4million viewers and explores a variety of different genres of music. Inbetween songs they have numerous adverts which divides the show and earns the company more money. You are able to listen to Capital Radio on many different devices. The most used device has to be either car radio or the 'free to download' app you can access on most phones.

Downloading the Capital App is a quick way to access music. The home screen of the app tells you the current playing song ( so you are able to download it act) and also tells you the upcoming videos, speakers or breaks.

Smooth radio;

Smooth Radio has very similar details and characteristics are Capital however the genre of the music is more calm and old fashioned. The app is a vibrant purple which i feel attracts and interests me more than the dark blue. You are told the upcoming and coming songs. The overall layout of the Smooth app is identical to the Capital app.

Capital Extra;

From the idea of Capital FM comes Capital Extra. From the same layout and company the only difference is the overall colour and genre of music. Personally i dislike Capital Extra as the music is far to upbeat and fast, however they are reaching up to 1.1million listeners.

Classic FM;
Out of all the station so far i dislike the colour of this one the most. Although i find the colour repulsive i feel that it will attract a larger fan base (each with different genders) as it is brightly designed. The genre is 100% classical which could lower the amount of listeners as the population of young people is larger than the elderly.

Like all the apps it shows the current song playing and its artist. Right at the bottom of the screen are 5 icons, -On Air, -Schedule, -News, -Discover and -More. This gives you the chance to explore a variety of different music stations and/or artists.

Heart;
Heart music, in my opinion, is the best laid out station. It consists of a bright background with larger white font, the font goes well with the background making it stand out more viciously. The 'A' in the title is heart shaped adding a more romantic feel to the station. The current genre of songs the company play are mainly calm, couple music. 

The layout is the same as the other stations but due to the contours between the colours the writing and icons stand out more. The only thing i think Heart Radio could have included is an image of the artist next to the songs name, this is too assure you, you are looking at the right singer if you wish to research the current song.

Gogglebox

Googlebox is shown on a friday evening on Chanel 4 with a variety of different series. Each series is made up by at least 10 episodes all of which are around a hour long. The show was created by putting cameras in family living rooms to capture viewers responses to different TV shows. The TV shows that the families watched were purposely chosen as they were the most popular watched around the nation. The top shows that the families watch are XFactor, Im A Celebrity and Chanel 4 News. They chose these shows is particular due to them being the most watched by the nation. By choosing these shows it gives us a way of interacting with the families and comparing ourselves to the way they reacted.

This show focuses on Comedy however as it is starring everyday people we are able to relate more. Their use of language and sense of humour is easier to understand and they use similar dialect to us. Although it is a fun show and the families responses keep us entertained, I cant help but feel the whole show is constructed. 

The families are aware that their is a camera present in the room which suggests some of their reactions may be false and/or exaggerated to increase the national views. One of the most popular households in the episodes are best friends Sandy and Sandra. They are loved so strongly due to their appearance and their actions. Chanel 4 chose a variety of different families each with a different sense of humour, for example, The Moffatt family are talkative and funny however The Siddiqui Family tend to act more seriously and concerned. 

Overal i think the layout of this program is a great way of receiving more viewers and earning a higher profit however, it is slightly constructed which takes away reality of it.   

CourseWork5_ More Merchandise

This is the dvd cover for my first season of Inclosure. I really like how it turned out as is foreshadows whats going to happen in the season however doesn't give any spoilers. Each image on the cover has a purpose for being their. For example the mountains are there because the environment of season one is set around a rocky surrounding. 

The front cover of the case includes everything i buyer will need to know. The target audience/age (bottom right), the name of the Show/Season(Inclosure/No such thing as evil) and relatable images to attract consumers. 

The spine of the case in simple. It includes the Show name, the target age and the special addition icon. All of these need to be present so consumers can analysis what dvd it is without seeing the face of the case.

With the back side i got inspiration from other dvd cases. I cropped and fit the bottom half of the face by using an image of google. This section on the face is what every dvd case has as it tells us the legal side of the dvd. A blurb is always needed, this is to inform the viewer of what the film/show is about and also gives them minimal information of whats happened/happening. Top right of the back face i added how many disks are included. Because is it a continuous show this information is important so consumers know how many disks need to be present in the case.

Overal I think the outcome of my series dvd case turned out really well as it includes everything you'd find on actual dvd cases and gives all the details and consumer will need before purchasing the item.

I decided to create another DVD cover for my Tv Series. I like this cover as it tell us what the program is about yet doesnt spoil anything. Although I like this cover because it is simple and doesnt include to many busy sections I still like the first design more.

Identifying Todorov

 Divergent! 

We are introduced to the Equalibruim straight away when we learn that each citenzen is designated a sector. This is normal leaving for main start Beatrice, so when testing day comes up and she discovers she's a 'divergent'(a rare breed of human with talents from all sectors) he life becomes a threat! Divergents are believed to use their talents for evil hence why everyone is afraid of them.

The distribution in the Equalibrium comes around after finding out she's a Divergent. With the fear of being identified as a divergent and the choosing of sectors coming up Beatrice fears for her life! Although she learns new skills and becomes the best in her sector. However when one of the sectors becomes evil and tries over ruling her true Divergen o's portrayed in the process of saving the people in her home town. 

Recognition of the disruption is when they discover she is a divergent and try to kill her, in the process of her surviving the hate rig of the other sectors she finds other Divergents. 

Repair of the Equalibruim is when Beatrice destroys the evil sector and, for the sake of her survival runs away with the other Divergents. 

Returning of a new Equalibruim for everyone as the sectors must continue living with the knowledge of Divergents still existing and Beatrice and the other Divergents must survive being hunted.

Product Ideas:
Since deciding on my overall narrative I have since then gone on to develop my idea. The name of my series will still be called 'Inclosure' however each season will have a different name for example series one will be called 'no such thing as evil'.

I thought of this name in particular as when the teenagers are kept captive one of the teens could shout out to the scientist 'what you're doing isnt human, its evil' the scientist could then go on to reply with 'there's no such thing as evil'. I think this catchphrase is catchy and will stick in the characters and viewers mind throughout the season.

Below I have designed some rough merchandise ideas which I will use to specifically publicize season one of Inclosure.

This is my first Idea as it symbolize the main name of the seasons. However the silhouettes represent the characters in season one. As the characters change throughout the seasons so will the images. 

I really like this idea as it tells us what happens in the first couple of episodes however it doesn't tell us whats going to happen. It includes the sub series name in a an attractive format. The image also represents season one yet if you haven't seen the program you wouldn't understand its purpose. I think the fact it is focusing on a black and white theme with minimal colour attracts our attention to the important part of the product.

This hat is simple yet looks very trendy.The overall layout of this hat represents the sub series name(like every one of these designs on this page) and a scientists test tube. The  equipment portrays what could happen in the season. This design is trendy as it is from a teens point f view however seeing as the show is based on post water shed it may attract adults.

This is my final design for my tv how and I decided to chose pen as 

most viewers will either in late 

education or employment, It is a simple design with the seasons name. It comes in a variety of different colours which benefits the users.

The characters of the series are painted onto the customers nails in a simple yet fun manner. This is a way the fans can have a cheap  pigment of their favourite characters which them at all times.

Coursework3_Character Development.

Drew:
         Drew is a 19 year old male who's day time job is as a Trainee Electrician. He is tall and white with blonde hair and an extremely high IQ. Drew is needed within this series because he has the brains and ability to fix the Equilibrium when it is disrupted. 

Bill:
      Bill is the Second eldest of the group of friends (18) and is currently unemployed. He is viewed as the ladies man as he is constantly focusing on his appearance and lives to attract opposite sexes. I think the idea of him being put into a situation where he realises appearance isn't as important is a good way of developing the character.

Mikey:
       Mikey is the same age as Bill however he acts more mature. He holds down the job of an office boy however he isn't half as smart as Drew, and doesn't have much common sense. Mikey is also a teen dad who plans to get married to his current girlfriend Sarah, however she is not present during the first couple of seasons.

Tommy:
      Tommy(mainly called Tom by friends) is the Daredevil of the group. He is the same age as Drew and Bill yet is so immature he can be mistaken for a child. With light Blonde hair and Piercing blue eyes he gets misjudged as a perfect German. Tom is well known by the neighbourhood as the A&E obsessed teen as the amount of injurgies he has encountered is inhuman,

Doug:
        Doug is the youngest of the group(17) and extremely dopy. He is shorter than the rest of the boys and very skinny. This gives him an advantage when it comes to small gaps between the rocks. His appearance fools us as he had facial hair and a deep throat, however his height from behind portrays him as a kid. 

I based my characters on my brothers i.e.: appearance/personality however I changed their personally slightly to fit better with the current plot; for example my brother Michael(Mikey) is not a teen dad and not planning on get married, however he is very mature and works as an office boy. I shortened their names so it did not represent my brothers fully. Having my characters based on real people makes it easier for me to remember their bio.

Drew:(turning radio off) can you two shut up?i need  to concentrate

Tom: sorry drew man, how long left anyway?

Drew: im not to sure(checks map) we should be there in the next couple minutes i think

Tom:thank god for that, ive lost feeling in my arse(turns radio back on and start singing current song)

Drew drive round a bend and pulls on the brakes. The teens fly forward.. 

Bill: What the fuck Drew man?? Nearly killed us there

Grayson Perry

Grayson Perry is an English Artist who bases his work on capturing the lives and background of people and making a detailed piece of artwork on them

Running on channel 4 Grayson uses his artistic talents to firstly explore the person ie; what makes them unique/how they've lived their lives and after a matter of months produces a variety of different work for each person. One of the individuals named Jaz was going through a terrible time with the changing of gender, Perry spent time with the individual and learnt what he was struggling with! The final outcome of work was displayed in an art museum miles from their house! 

I learnt that appearance and personal life can be hard and you may be struggling but if you have people around you(whether that be celebrities or friends) you can achieve wonderful things! Also the overall show allows you to figure out who you are and forms your true identify!

Personally I think the idea of the show is amazing as it tells us to be ourself and not worry about others opinion! Grayson Perry really grabbed our attention with the emotion within the series.

Narrative;

Teen holiday to a rock climbing resort. When suddenly one of the teens loose footing and fall down a shaft between two rocks, leaving the rest of the group worried and debating how to retrieve help!The rest of the group venture down to help the teen but realize there is no way out.

When under ground they realize it is not just a normal cave as there are weird, off putting photos on the way and scientific objects laying around! Later on in the season the teens become intoxicated by fumes that have been let off by the owner of the cave which leaves them in a coma like sleep.

When they awake they are tired to different metal tables and realise they have had a variety off different tests and chemicals injected into them! We are introduce to the scientist during series 2/3 and he is portrayed as a crazy old man with a dirty apron and long facial hair! 

Series 3 and 4 consist of the teens trying to escape and further tests. And them discovering their new powers. As the series go on they escape from the chamber and experiment with their new powers, however in series 7 one of the teens go back to the cave to get 'answers' as to how the powers came about only to discover an empty room. 

After season one the Plot and Characters will completely change however the over theme of supernatural will stay consistent.

Why;

I got this idea of a book I read when I was younger however the whole idea of supernatural powers and a dodgy scientist was made up! I think this season will be effective as it will be full of Suspense and keep the viewers intrigued!

My idea is influenced from other films such as The Creep( a strange man who tortures people in the subway underground) also i was influenced by The Decent( a ground of friends go rock climbing and get lost underground)
