Product Ideas:
Since deciding on my overall narrative I have since then gone on to develop my idea. The name of my series will still be called 'Inclosure' however each season will have a different name for example series one will be called 'no such thing as evil'.

I thought of this name in particular as when the teenagers are kept captive one of the teens could shout out to the scientist 'what you're doing isnt human, its evil' the scientist could then go on to reply with 'there's no such thing as evil'. I think this catchphrase is catchy and will stick in the characters and viewers mind throughout the season.

Below I have designed some rough merchandise ideas which I will use to specifically publicize season one of Inclosure.

This is my first Idea as it symbolize the main name of the seasons. However the silhouettes represent the characters in season one. As the characters change throughout the seasons so will the images. 

I really like this idea as it tells us what happens in the first couple of episodes however it doesn't tell us whats going to happen. It includes the sub series name in a an attractive format. The image also represents season one yet if you haven't seen the program you wouldn't understand its purpose. I think the fact it is focusing on a black and white theme with minimal colour attracts our attention to the important part of the product.

This hat is simple yet looks very trendy.The overall layout of this hat represents the sub series name(like every one of these designs on this page) and a scientists test tube. The  equipment portrays what could happen in the season. This design is trendy as it is from a teens point f view however seeing as the show is based on post water shed it may attract adults.

This is my final design for my tv how and I decided to chose pen as 

most viewers will either in late 

education or employment, It is a simple design with the seasons name. It comes in a variety of different colours which benefits the users.

                                                     

                                                                                         This piece of merchandise is more for the female fans. The characters of the series are painted onto the customers nails in a simple yet fun manner. This is a way the fans can have a cheap  pigment of their favourite characters which them at all times.

This is the idea that the the audience starts out with an empty mind and that the producers/directors of a film inject us with something that we will pay money to see. This is a easy way to receive money and enlarge the target audience.

User and Gratification: 
There are many reasons why we do and watch certain things and each action has a different outcomes.
1)Surveillance-Factual Knowledge
2)Personal Identity
3)Form Friendships- You can build friendships with the things you have I'm common
4)Entertainment-We watch certain films for pleasure and to have a good time. 

Reception Theory:
This is how something is received. Every one learns and understands things in different ways but we all acknowledge.

Coursework3_Character Development.

Drew:
         Drew is a 19 year old male who's day time job is as a Trainee Electrician. He is tall and white with blonde hair and an extremely high IQ. Drew is needed within this series because he has the brains and ability to fix the Equilibrium when it is disrupted. 

Bill:
      Bill is the Second eldest of the group of friends (18) and is currently unemployed. He is viewed as the ladies man as he is constantly focusing on his appearance and lives to attract opposite sexes. I think the idea of him being put into a situation where he realises appearance isn't as important is a good way of developing the character.

Mikey:
       Mikey is the same age as Bill however he acts more mature. He holds down the job of an office boy however he isn't half as smart as Drew, and doesn't have much common sense. Mikey is also a teen dad who plans to get married to his current girlfriend Sarah, however she is not present during the first couple of seasons.

Tommy:
      Tommy(mainly called Tom by friends) is the Daredevil of the group. He is the same age as Drew and Bill yet is so immature he can be mistaken for a child. With light Blonde hair and Piercing blue eyes he gets misjudged as a perfect German. Tom is well known by the neighbourhood as the A&E obsessed teen as the amount of injurgies he has encountered is inhuman,

Doug:
        Doug is the youngest of the group(17) and extremely dopy. He is shorter than the rest of the boys and very skinny. This gives him an advantage when it comes to small gaps between the rocks. His appearance fools us as he had facial hair and a deep throat, however his height from behind portrays him as a kid. 

I based my characters on my brothers i.e.: appearance/personality however I changed their personally slightly to fit better with the current plot; for example my brother Michael(Mikey) is not a teen dad and not planning on get married, however he is very mature and works as an office boy. I shortened their names so it did not represent my brothers fully. Having my characters based on real people makes it easier for me to remember their bio.

Opening scene set in Drews camper van. Whole group chatting about the holiday theyre travelling to. Suddenly Doug and Tom start singing loudly to radio.

Doug;(shouting) I LOVE THIS SONG

Tom:(shouting back) Me too,Who sings it again  

Doug; (thinking) Michael Jackson I think

Drew:(turning radio off) can you two shut up?i need  to concentrate

Tom: sorry drew man, how long left anyway?

Drew: im not to sure(checks map) we should be there in the next couple minutes i think

Tom:thank god for that, ive lost feeling in my arse(turns radio back on and start singing current song)

Drew drive round a bend and pulls on the brakes. The teens fly forward.. 

Bill: What the fuck Drew man?? Nearly killed us there

Drew; Sorry guys(laughs)

Bill:Why you laughing fucking idiot, id sue you if i died(frowns

Tom: (turns to bill) Bill that would be impossible seeing as youre dead, fucking twat

BIll:(directed to Tom) WHAT DID YOU SAY???

Tom(interrupted by Doug) I Said..(Doug) it doesnt matter anymore i think we've found our destination( smiles round the group)

The group pile out of the Van and look up at the never ending mountain like rocks

Bill: WOW look at the size of them rocks, nearly the same size as your mum Tom(laughs hysterically to himself)

Tom(punchs bill in side of arm) yeah well funny mate

Drew: Grow up you two and help us get the stuff unloaded 

Grayson Perry

Grayson Perry is an English Artist who bases his work on capturing the lives and background of people and making a detailed piece of artwork on them

Running on channel 4 Grayson uses his artistic talents to firstly explore the person ie; what makes them unique/how they've lived their lives and after a matter of months produces a variety of different work for each person. One of the individuals named Jaz was going through a terrible time with the changing of gender, Perry spent time with the individual and learnt what he was struggling with! The final outcome of work was displayed in an art museum miles from their house! 

I learnt that appearance and personal life can be hard and you may be struggling but if you have people around you(whether that be celebrities or friends) you can achieve wonderful things! Also the overall show allows you to figure out who you are and forms your true identify!

Personally I think the idea of the show is amazing as it tells us to be ourself and not worry about others opinion! Grayson Perry really grabbed our attention with the emotion within the series.

Coursework1_Teen Horror Idea

For my idea I am thinking about;

Narrative;

Teen holiday to a rock climbing resort. When suddenly one of the teens loose footing and fall down a shaft between two rocks, leaving the rest of the group worried and debating how to retrieve help!The rest of the group venture down to help the teen but realize there is no way out.

When under ground they realize it is not just a normal cave as there are weird, off putting photos on the way and scientific objects laying around! Later on in the season the teens become intoxicated by fumes that have been let off by the owner of the cave which leaves them in a coma like sleep.

When they awake they are tired to different metal tables and realise they have had a variety off different tests and chemicals injected into them! We are introduce to the scientist during series 2/3 and he is portrayed as a crazy old man with a dirty apron and long facial hair! 

Series 3 and 4 consist of the teens trying to escape and further tests. And them discovering their new powers. As the series go on they escape from the chamber and experiment with their new powers, however in series 7 one of the teens go back to the cave to get 'answers' as to how the powers came about only to discover an empty room. 

After season one the Plot and Characters will completely change however the over theme of supernatural will stay consistent.

Why;

I got this idea of a book I read when I was younger however the whole idea of supernatural powers and a dodgy scientist was made up! I think this season will be effective as it will be full of Suspense and keep the viewers intrigued!

My idea is influenced from other films such as The Creep( a strange man who tortures people in the subway underground) also i was influenced by The Decent( a ground of friends go rock climbing and get lost underground)
