Capital Fm:
Capital fm is Britians number one listened to radio station. I has over 1.4million viewers and explores a variety of different genres of music. Inbetween songs they have numerous adverts which divides the show and earns the company more money. You are able to listen to Capital Radio on many different devices. The most used device has to be either car radio or the 'free to download' app you can access on most phones.
Downloading the Capital App is a quick way to access music. The home screen of the app tells you the current playing song ( so you are able to download it act) and also tells you the upcoming videos, speakers or breaks.
Smooth radio;
Smooth Radio has very similar details and characteristics are Capital however the genre of the music is more calm and old fashioned. The app is a vibrant purple which i feel attracts and interests me more than the dark blue. You are told the upcoming and coming songs. The overall layout of the Smooth app is identical to the Capital app.
Capital Extra;
From the idea of Capital FM comes Capital Extra. From the same layout and company the only difference is the overall colour and genre of music. Personally i dislike Capital Extra as the music is far to upbeat and fast, however they are reaching up to 1.1million listeners.
Classic FM;
Out of all the station so far i dislike the colour of this one the most. Although i find the colour repulsive i feel that it will attract a larger fan base (each with different genders) as it is brightly designed. The genre is 100% classical which could lower the amount of listeners as the population of young people is larger than the elderly.
Like all the apps it shows the current song playing and its artist. Right at the bottom of the screen are 5 icons, -On Air, -Schedule, -News, -Discover and -More. This gives you the chance to explore a variety of different music stations and/or artists.
Heart;
Heart music, in my opinion, is the best laid out station. It consists of a bright background with larger white font, the font goes well with the background making it stand out more viciously. The 'A' in the title is heart shaped adding a more romantic feel to the station. The current genre of songs the company play are mainly calm, couple music.
The layout is the same as the other stations but due to the contours between the colours the writing and icons stand out more. The only thing i think Heart Radio could have included is an image of the artist next to the songs name, this is too assure you, you are looking at the right singer if you wish to research the current song.
